DR. MICHAEL WILLIAM WINKLEY
On May 23, 2014, Dr. Michael William Winkley passed. Mick did not want any services and his family is honoring that request. Mick simply asked that people remember him fondly.
Mick was a unique man, intimidating to some, but a softy at heart. He was loyal, hardworking, witty and smart, his work as a research chemist can be measured in the 90 patents he attained.
He loved his daughters and encouraged them to seek higher education and be successful in their lives. He was an amazing athlete, swimmer, diver and javelin thrower. He loved science, trees, rocks, opera, animals, travel and physical labor, but above all he loved his wife Beverly. Beverly passed on August 26, 2013 and he simply could not live without her. Their love for each other was beautiful. They will both be missed every day, but we know that they are happy somewhere together.
