William Metzinger

May 6, 1968 — November 26, 2023

William J. Metzinger III of Mt. Penn, PA passed away on Sunday, November 26. He was the husband of Lori Castor. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late William J. Metzinger II and Diane (Zettlemoyer) Snyder. Bill graduated from Wyomissing High School and attended Penn State University. Bill is remembered for his boyish smile and quick sense of humor. He looked for the good in people and always had a kind word, whether he knew you for years or had just met you. He cared about people. An avid camera collector, he loved photography and nature and spent many afternoons taking walks with Lori and their dog, Jack. He appreciated the beauty of nature and enjoyed spending time outside. Bill had a knack for computers and loved all things Apple. He loved live music, especially the Grateful Dead.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his two sons, William J. Metzinger IV and John C. Metzinger, both of Ephrata. He is also survived by his brother, Timothy Metzinger, step-father, Wayne Snyder, and loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
