William D. Eich

William D. Eich, 94, formerly of Pennside, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Keystone Villa at Douglassville, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Mary (Zogas) Eich, who passed away in 1996. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Perry Eich Sr. and Anna (Miller) Eich. Bill graduated from Reading High School, class of 1948. He proudly served his country in The United States Air Force. Bill was a tool maker at Parish Structural Division Dana Corp for many years until his retirement. He served as the treasurer for Local 3733 for 9 years, Board of Directors for Berks Community FCU for 20 years, and loved bowling.

Bill is survived by his children; Kathy Hinkle, wife of Eric, of Hanover, and Debra Davis, wife of John, of Exeter. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Matthew, Mark, Ellen, Ashley, and Kristen, as well as eight great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his son William D. Eich II, his brother Perry Eich Jr., and sister Arlene Zogas.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, https://donate.cancer.org.
