Thomas L. Clark, 83, of Exeter Township, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Complete Care at Berkshire Center. He was the widower of the late Philomena A. (Moyer) Clark. Born in Girardville, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas L. Clark and Marie Hoffman. Thomas graduated from Reading Central Catholic High School in 1960. He proudly served his country in The United States Air Force from 1960-1964. Thomas was a General Manager for Exide for many years until his retirement in 2002.
Thomas is survived by his sister Mary Monasmith, wife of Sean Monasmith of Oley, PA. His Stepson, Dr. Richard Heath of Nanuet, NY. He was preceded in death by his sisters and brother: Ellen Nelson, Elizabeth Harkins, and Robert L. Clark. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Bridgette Errich (wife of Peter Errich), their son Hayden, and daughter Joise of West Lawn; Shawn Steffe of Alsace Township; Brandon Steffe of Oley Township; Jillian Ketner (wife of Bradley Ketner), and their daughters Grace and Hazel of Alsace Township; and Brett Steffe of West Reading.
Thomas was a man who truly loved his family above all else. Known for his warm heart and generous spirit, he made family the center of his life. One of the traditions he treasured most was family dinners where laughter and stories flowed freely, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Beyond family, he had a passion for golf, finding joy and peace on the course. He was a proud supporter of his nephew and great nephew, never missing a chance to watch them play hockey. His enthusiasm and pride in their achievements were clear to everyone who knew him. Every Christmas, he lovingly made ornaments with his great nieces, creating treasured memories and passing down a tradition of creativity. He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the genuine love he showed to his family. His legacy of togetherness and joy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Representatives from the United States Air Force will perform final military honors to conclude the visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., has been entrusted with arrangements.
