Thaddeus S. Twardowski, 77, of Exeter Township, passed away after a long illness on Monday, August 18, 2025 in his home with his wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of L. Celeste (Schroeter) Twardowski, with whom he celebrated 22 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thaddeus and Rita (Geonnotti) Twardowski. After Ted graduated from Cardinal Dougherty HS, he enlisted in The US Army and proudly served four years. He was in Vietnam 1968-1969, serving in Military Intelligence with The 8th Radio Field Station in Phu Bai and Hue. He suffered from Agent Orange exposure sicknesses throughout his life after the war years. He graduated from George Mason University with a BS on the GI Bill. He worked for Federal OSHA in Safety standards in Washington, DC for 30 years until his retirement. Ted was a passionate supporter of animal rescues, Christian charities and foundations for veterans. He enjoyed doing antique military shows, The WWII Airshow Military Flea Market and loved military antiques and spending time traveling to Brimfield with his wife in their RV.
In addition to his wife Celeste, Ted is survived by his daughters; Chrissie Hopkins, wife of Dustin, and Julia March, wife of James. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Trenton, Ethan, Kinsley Mae, Elijah, William, and Wesley, as well as his brother Tony Twardowski. Ted was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter Kaylee Grace.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment with military honors and Patriot Guard Escort will follow at Schwarzwald Cemetery, Jacksonwald.
