Stephen V. Aguiar, 65, of Robeson Township, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Yvonne (Smith) Aguiar. Born in Birdsboro, PA, he was the son of the late Manuel and Hildegarde (Schulz) Aguiar. Stephen worked as a truck driver for many years. He spent time working at Esterly Cement, and lastly worked as a chemical mixer at a chemical adhesive plant. He was a member of St. John's U.C.C. Stephen loved to garden and tend to his chickens. He was a kind hearted person who loved talking to everyone and visiting his neighbors. He had many friends, and was loved by all who met him.
In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by his children Joann Buffenmeyer and Amber Rose Aguiar, and his grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, John A. Aguiar, husband of Bonnie, George D. Aguiar, Joseph W. Aguiar, Jason M. Aguiar, Virginia M. Mohr, wife of Paul, and Catherine L. Beadencup, wife of Albert. Stephen is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with his step children Kirk Allen and Chrissy Allen, as well as his step grandchildren, Eric Jr. Anthony and Matthew and their children. He treated them and loved them just like his own, and they loved him. Stephen will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his brothers Anthony, Manuel Jr., David, and James Aguiar.
A gathering of friends and family to share memories of Stephen will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 starting at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:30 am at St. John's U.C.C. Social Hall, 57 St. John's Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.
