Clarence J Seidel Jr.

Clarence J. Seidel Jr., 89, of Reading, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, in Berkshire Center. He was pre deceased by his wife of 39 years, Melva Seidel. Born in Alsace Township, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clarence and Helen (Heffner) Seidel. Clarence graduated from Muhlenberg High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Clarence worked for Western Electric as a cook, he was a manager at PLCB, and also worked at Boscov's in the garden center.

Clarence is survived by his children; Mark Seidel, husband of Carla, Deborah Doogan, wife of Edward, Timothy Seidel, husband of Kathy, Jamie Carrier, wife of Henri, and Tamara Seidel. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and his sisters; Shirley Shuman, Peggy LaPearl, and June Huyett, wife of Richard and his companion Carole Komlodi. Clarence was predeceased by his sister Mary Rothermel.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon am with services beginning at 12:00 noon in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Mt. Penn, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to PaParksandForests.org .
