Betty Jane Sardo (Jones)

Betty Jane (Jones) Sardo, 84, of Exeter Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital of complications from Alzheimer’s/Dementia. Betty was born on May 14, 1928 in Reading, daughter of Bertha Rupp Montag and Tom Jones. She was a member of the 1946 Reading High School class and after high school worked at Bortz’s Chocolate Factory. She married Anthony Sardo in 1957 and enjoyed 42 years of marriage until Anthony passed in February of 2000. Betty was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Reading. In addition to being pre-deceased by her husband, Anthony, she was also pre-deceased by brothers John Kramer and Robert Kramer. Betty is survived by her son, Michael Sardo of Reading and her daughter, Deborah Brown of Pottstown and son-in-law, Douglas Brown as well as two grandchildren, Katrina and David.
