Sandra L. (Hughes) Gilbert

Sandra L. (Hughes) Gilbert, 83, of, Reading, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 in Reading Hospital Medical Center. She was the wife of the late John Gilbert. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Senocki) Hughes.

Sandra was a graduate of Reading High School and was a member of St Catharine of Siena R.C.C. She went on to work at Godiva for many years, as well as at Soverign Bank and Maxwell Resources.

Sandra is survived by her children; Mary Overley, (Craig), Colleen Defrees, (Mark Fultz), Rebecca Aguilera, (Edward), John W. Gilbert and Jamie M. Gilbert. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Ryan, Kyle, Dylan, Kali, Jared, Ian, Hannah, Emily, Luke and Sarah. Sandra is also survived by her great granddaughter Alexandra and her brother Theodore.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C., 7945 Boyertown Pike Reading, PA 19606 from 5:00pm until 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation, beginning at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.
