Shirley I. Rissmiller (Mintzer)

Shirley I. (Mintzer) Rissmiller, 88, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in the Berkshire Center. She was the wife of the late Glenn C. Rissmiller, who passed away March 11, 2000. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Earl A. and Bertha G. (Gerber) Mintzer. Shirley retired from the Children's Home of Reading.

Shirley is survived by her son Kirk L., husband of Linda G. Rissmiller, and two granddaughters Kayla Gimont and Ashley Engelman. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren Nicholas, Aubrey, and Alex Montgomery, Ava Rissmiller, and Kade Zunner, as well as her brother Lee H. Mintzer. Shirley was predeceased by her brother Howard N. Mintzer and sister Marilyn C. Sherrer.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro PA 19508.
