Richard H. Jennings, 78, of Mt. Penn, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Kathryn M. (Galozzo) Jennings, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage last November. Born in East Stroudsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Horace and Bessie (Robeson) Jennings. Richard graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1965 as well at Northampton Community College with an associates degree. Richard proudly served his country in The United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a bill collector for Household Finance. Richard loved traveling to National Parks, especially Zion, Grand Canyon, and Bryce Canyon. He enjoyed watching PSU football, NY Rangers, Villanova Men's Basketball, St. Louis Cardinals and Arizona Cardinals.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his children; Andrea L. Jennings and Eric A. Jennings, as well as his brother Larry Jennings. He was preceded in death by his other brother, Franklin Jennings.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Representatives from the United States Navy will perform final military honors to conclude the visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., has been entrusted with arrangements.
