Nancy D. Perno (Hanifin)

February 14, 1953 — September 30, 2021

Nancy D. (Hanifin) Perno, 68, of Exeter Township, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021, in Reading Hospital Medical Center, surrounded by her loving husband.

Devoted wife of David Perno, proud loving mother of Jennifer Perno (Kim), Victoria (David), and Stephen (Andrea). Our darling grandchildren were cherished by Nancy as "Mom mom" to Matthew and Julianna. Dearest daughter of late John Hanifin and Mary (O’Neil), and beloved sister of late Patrick. Survived by loving siblings Chris Hanifin (Michele), John Hanifin (Renee), as well as, sister-in-law Diane Micciche (Joe), and Eileen Perno (Michael - deceased).

Nancy received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Lankenau Hospital, worked in the OR at Albert Einstein Medical Center and Reading Oral Surgery. She loved to read, watched Sci-fi and comedy movies and also collected frog figurines. She especially relished spending time with her late mother, sipping on a cup of tea and reminiscing of old times and current events. Nancy was kind, loving and a supportive spouse, a good listener and her husband's best friend. She made friends easily and was loved by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to join in her celebration of life held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services starting at 11:00 am, at Lutz Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, Pa 19606. In lieu of flowers kindly make a donation to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Pl., St 170, Bethlehem, Pa 18017, in memory of Nancy D. Perno. Lutz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
