Pamela Jayne (Perrotty) Brooks, 69, formerly of Cuttingsville, VT, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026 after losing an 8-year battle with brain cancer. She was the wife of the late Ronald Brooks, who passed away July 8, 2026. Born in Morristown, NJ, Pam was the daughter of the late Richard Perrotty and Kay (Rorke) Perrotty. She graduated from Mountain Lakes High School in 1974.
She briefly attended nursing school at Petersburg Hospital in Virginia. She then held several jobs, including as head pro of Yogi Berra's Hall of Fame Racquetball Club followed by her years as a "Professional Mixologist" at TGI Fridays, where she met her husband, Ron. They married in June of 1991 and later moved to their Vermont Cabin.
She continued her education in Vermont earning a BS in nursing from Castleton State College. After graduation, Pam worked for many years caring for other people as an Intensive Critical Care Nurse at Rutland Regional Hospital in Rutland, VT, until her retirement. She loved family visits to their Vermont cabin and annual trips to the Outer Banks, always finding time to enjoy the sunsets in her happy place. Pam loved her many dogs and horses.
Pam is survived by her mother Kay, her brothers Richard Perrotty, Craig (Sue) Perrotty, and Scott (Joy) Perrotty, nieces Carlyn Monastero and Chelsea (Jack) Talbot. Grandnieces Mackenzie and Amelia Monastero. Nephew Nick (Marissa Dennis) Perrotty and grandnephew Finn Talbot.
Pam is also survived by her stepchildren Karen Brooks Leahy and Ronald Brooks, Jr. As well as grandchildren Justin, Ture (Summer), and Collin Leahy, Owen Brooks and great-grandchild Elle Leahy.
Wherever Pam went she made friends, bringing love, laughter and joy to those she touched.
A memorial service for Pam will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 am at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 145 Route 46, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Big Jim Foundation, 4 Grove Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. They provide direct assistance to families who are dealing with brain cancer.
Lutz Funeral Home in Reading PA has been entrusted with arrangements.
