Oscar P. Hollenbach Jr., 91, formerly of Lower Alsace Twp., passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Berks Heim. He was the husband of the late Sandra J. (Surgeoner) Hollenbach. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Oscar P. Hollenbach Sr., and Alice (Hafer) Hollenbach. Oscar graduated from Reading High School. He proudly served his country in The United States Marine Corps. Oscar worked as an industrial maintenance mechanic for many years before his retirement. He loved fishing, watching sports, conversing on his CB radio, antique cars, and walking. Oscar was known to many as the "unofficial Mayor of Stony Creek." He was involved in many drum & bugle corps., Boy Scout Leader Troop 377, coached Stony Creek AA baseball and Penn Alsace football.

Oscar is survived by his children; Scott D. Hollenbach of Stony Creek Mills, David L. Hollenbach, of Mt. Penn, and Steven G. Hollenbach, husband of Maria, of Sinking Spring. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Danielle L. Jason R., Glenn P., and Gabriel P. Hollenbach, as well as two great-grandchildren; Bailey and Emmy. Oscar was preceded in death by his grandson Evan, and his siblings, Carl H., Arthur, and June Wertz.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., has been entrusted with arrangements.
