George H. Monshower

George H. Monshower, 97, of Exeter Township, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, in Berkshire Center. He was the husband of the late Fern (Lorah) Monshower, who passed away February 2015. Born in Reading, Pa, he was the son of the late George H. Sr. and Bessie (Wentzel) Monshower. George graduated from Reading High School and then attended Wharton School of Business. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. George started his career as an accountant for NEAPCO Prod. Inc. in Pottstown, and then went on to become the controller for 23 years. He then worked for General Battery as an accountant for 17 years until his retirement in 1988.

George is survived by his children, Gary G. Monshower, and Eileen F. Cieniewicz. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Julie, Kristie, Jonathan and great grandchildren; Hailey and Ethan.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday July 1, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with services beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc.. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading Pa 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's Memorial Fund 1559 Perkiomen Ave, Reading Pa 19602.
