J. Harold “Mac” McCrabb, 88, of The Highlands, Wyomissing passed away December 27th, 2012. He was the husband of Virginia J. (Norton) McCrabb. Born in Drumore Twp., Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Loyal M. McCrabb, Sr. and the late Helen (Burkins) McCrabb. In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by his children: Sharon M. Franklin wife of Dennis, J. David McCrabb husband of Elaine and Judy K. Martin wife of Craig; Three Grandchildren: Kelly Georgeou, John Franklin and Jessica Martin and Four Great-Grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a grandson Stephen Martin. He is also survived by a sister Dorothy Ebersole of Elizabethtown, PA. and was pre-deceased by four brothers: Donald, Lester, Loyal, Jr. and Paul. Harold was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a radio communications specialist on the USS Koiner. Harold m oved to Reading to manage the Camera Department at Kagens Dept. Store. He owned and operated Reading Stamp from 1959 until 2005. Harold was a member of The Wyomissing Church of the Brethren. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn followed by services at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private at Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 498 E.
