Margie Dee (Lamma) Shearer, 72, of Pottstown, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026 in Arden Courts of Allentown. She was the wife of Michael J. Shearer, with whom she celebrated 51 years of marriage. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late William D. and Betty J. (Kemp) Lamma. Margie graduated from Reading High School and Kutztown University with a Masters Degree in Education. She was a reading specialist at the Reading School District for 37 years before retiring. Margie was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church - Royersford.

In addition to her husband, Margie is survived by her daughters; Becky Thren, wife of Matthew, and Katie Druckenmiller, wife of Peter. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Hannah, PJ, Grace, Quinn, Dylan, and Abigail, her brother William D. Lamma III, husband of Sandra, and her nephew and nieces; Matt, Amanda, and Allison. Margie was preceded in death by her sister Peggy J. Allgaier and nephew Mark Allgaier.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with services beginning at 10:30 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research at Penn Medicine Development Attn: Penn Memory Center, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
