Margaret A. "Penny" Kroznuski

Margaret A. "Penny" (Rayson) Kroznuski, 76, of Exeter Township, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. She was the wife of Edward V. Kroznuski, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. He was the love of her life. Born in Warren, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Josephine (Houser) Rayson. Penny graduated from Hazleton High School in 1965 and Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1968. She was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, where she found much strength in her faith. She worked as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at the Reading Hospital for over 41 years until her retirement in 2009. She was remembered by her co-workers for not only her medical knowledge, but also for the compassion that she had for her patients as well as their families. Penny enjoyed watching sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles. She was a true die hard fan and never missed a game when they were playing- usually clutching a frosty glass with some Jameson in it (always one to support her Irish heritage!) Penny was very proud of her family history, spending many hours tracing her family roots on Ancestry. Penny also cherished the many, many friendships that she had. She loved those women like sisters.

In addition to her husband, Penny is survived by her daughter, Lori Mack, wife of Brett, (who will miss her more than words could possibly define) her granddaughters; Ellie, Riley, Cate, and Taylor, and her loving dog Maggie. Penny was so proud of her granddaughters! She loved watching Ellie and Cate in their theater performances, as well as Cate ruling the pool in water polo. Penny was a huge supporter of Exeter Girls Volleyball, watching both Riley and Taylor play since Junior High. In the 6 years they have been playing, she never missed a home game for either of them.

Penny was predeceased by her son Edward David Kroznuski and her brother Harrison Rayson.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with services beginning at 12:00 pm in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.
