Obituary

Julia L. Fecera, 83, of Douglassville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was formerly married to the late Arthur A. Fecera.

Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, Julia was the daughter of the late Francis and Stephanie (Zelinski) Liszcz. She attended Reading High School and later received her Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) degree from San Diego Community College. She dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working as a private caregiver to many families and friends.

Julia was a woman of strong faith throughout her life. She was a former member of St. Catherine's Church and most recently attended Connection Church, where she continued to grow in her faith and fellowship.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Gifford (Michael Gifford), AJ Fecera (Carolyn Fecera), and Roxanne Stone (Paul Stone); her siblings, Josephine Pasko (Thomas Pasko), Roberta Liszcz, and Allen Liszcz (Dawn Liszcz); as well as her eight grandchildren, seven great‑grandchildren, her many nieces and nephews, and a large extended family, all of whom held a very special place in her heart.

Julia was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jacqueline Hill, and her brother, Francis Liszcz.

Julia often spoke of her greatest joy being her children, whom she raised to be loving, hardworking, and honest individuals. They supported one another, made faith a priority in their lives, and blessed her deeply through their kindness and love.

Known lovingly as "Mommom," Julia shared a special bond with her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, cherishing the time spent with them and the joy they brought to her life.

Julia also had a spirited and loyal side as an avid sports fan. She rarely missed a game and made sure to watch every Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles, Oregon Ducks, and Penn State football game. Cheering on her teams brought her great excitement and joy, and watching games became a cherished part of her routine.

She enjoyed listening to Christian radio, reading her Bible, and playing cards with friends, living a full and meaningful life marked by compassion, faith, and a deep devotion to her family.

In her honor, her granddaughter, Stephanie, invites all who knew Julia to share photos and memories of the many lives she touched. Messages, stories, and photographs may be left in the online guestbook on her obituary so they can be cherished by the family and shared at her celebration of life, which will be scheduled at a later date.

"Then I shall bow in humble adoration,
and there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art."
