Joseph G. Lucas, 84, of Temple, PA, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026. He was the husband of the late Kathleen (Weisser) Lucas, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage. Born in Wilson, NC, he was the son of the late Clayton and Doris P. (Bass) Lucas. Joseph was a long time roofer, retiring from Berks Roofing.

Joseph is survived by his children; Tammy Lantz, wife of Fred, of Wernersville, and Jamie L. Lucas, of Alsace Township. He is also survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and his brother Billy Lucas. Joseph was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Lucas Jr and grandson Jamie L. Lucas Jr.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with services beginning at 10:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606.
