Janet May (Fisher) Hafer, 92, of Exeter Township, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Celebration Villa - Exeter. She was the wife of the late Donald D. Hafer. Born in Lehigh County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Vera May (Snyder) Fisher. Janet graduated from Birdsboro High School. She was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church. Janet was an avid knitter, quilter, and loved crafting.

Janet is survived by her children; Steven E. Hafer, husband of Virginia, Sally M. Kennedy, wife of Kevin Kennedy, and daughter-in-law Diane Hafer, widow of Scott Hafer. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her brother Reed E. Fisher, husband of Sandra.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Friedens Cemetery - Oley. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Road, Reading, PA 19606.
