James D. Styer

James D. Styer, 80, of Exeter Township, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was the husband of the late Cynthia G. (Kline) Styer. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John L. and Fern M. (Mengel) Styer. James graduated from Exeter High School, class of 1963, and attended Penn State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jim was well known in the electrical sales industry, working for many years at Progress Electric Supply, and later retiring from Colonial Electric Supply.

Jim is survived by his children; Andrew J. Styer, fiance of Kimberly Moyer, of Oley, and Paula Styer spouse of Kelly Eghujovbo, of Detroit. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Evan Styer (Katie Nunn, fiance) Luke Styer, Nathan Styer, Aiden Tobias, and Henry Moyer-Daniels. He was also predeceased by his sister Geraldine Readinger and survived by his brothers John Styer, Joel Styer and brothers in law Paul "Kenny" Kline and Leonard Readinger. Also, his friend and travel partner, Roxann Frain and last but not least, his beloved cat "B.C".

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., has been entrusted with arrangements.
