James (Jim) S. Guzowski, 75, of Muhlenberg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026. He spent his final moments on earth at home surrounded by his loving family. He was blessed to be the soulmate and husband of Ann M. (Mont) Guzowski. Jim was embraced at the Gates of Heaven by his late parents, Stanley W. and Dorothy (Pluta) Guzowski along with his brother David and nephew Stanley.

Jim was born in Reading, PA and graduated from Holy Name High School in the class of 1968. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and was deployed to South America. Jim wore many professional hats, including chef, small business owner, fabrication technician, and call center operator. His favorite job, however, was being "Pops the Babysitter" to his beloved grandchildren during his retirement years. James loved his loyal dog, Bodhi, and playing cards. He was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers, and he spent countless hours listening to his music collection (the louder the better).

In addition to the love of his life, Ann, James is survived by his loving children: Megan Guzowski-Long, wife of Stephen, Aron Guzowski, husband of Allison, and Adam Guzowski, husband of Millicent. He is also survived by three grandchildren whom he adored: Cameron, Landon, and Zoe. He will also be remembered with love by many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.

Prior to his passing, Jim received incredible care from the staff of St. Joseph Medical Center and Heartland Hospice; the Guzowski family will be forever grateful for their compassion and the excellent care they provided.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Representatives from the United States Army will perform final military honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Humane Pennsylvania, 1801 N 11th Street, Reading PA 19604.
