Arlene L. (Wenger) Harner, 89, a resident at the Keystone Villa-Douglassville, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 in the Christiana Hospital-Christiana, DE. She was the widow of Frederick E. Harner who passed away April 11, 2003. Born in Birdsboro, she was a daughter of the late Monroe N. and Jennie (Wamsher) Wenger. Arlene was a graduate of the Indiana State Teachers College receiving her teaching degree in 1945. She was a teacher for all of her career, lastly as a business teacher at Exeter High School where she retired from. Arlene is survived by: Three Daughters: Linda L. Riggs of Newark, DE, Cheryl A. Harner of Birdsboro and Janet S. Diniz of Las Vegas, NV; Three Grandchildren: Michael, Jamie and Alesha; Four Great-Grandchildren: Alexis, Noah, Bradley and Asa; One Step-Brother: Monroe N. Wenger, Jr. of Reading and One Step-Sister: Shirley W. Suchomelly of Seminole, FL. She was pre-deceased by her Brothers George and Ray and Sisters Dorothy, Gladys, Jean and Marian. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:30-11:30 A.M. with services beginning at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. Mount Penn.
