Mary Jane Hampton, 72, of Reading, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 in her residence. She was the wife of Robert P. Hampton. Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Florence Lightcap. Mary Jane was a waitress for Speck’s Diner in Limerick and Sunset Pharmacy in Pottstown for many years. Mary Jane was involved in the past with the Ladies Auxillary of Gibraltar and Kulptown Fire Companies and loved marching in the parades and participating in various functions. She also loved music and dancing, but mostly spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, there are Mary Jane’s children: Robert P. Hampton, II (pre-deceased), Brian G. Hampton husband of Gina of Birdsboro, Barbara L. Millard widow of Jerry of Reading, Kimberly S. Clark wife of Richard of Reading and Eli zabeth A. Krise of Hamburg; Fourteen Grandchildren; Six Great-Grandchildren; Three Brothers: Kenneth Lightcap of Reading, Gerald Lightcap of Schuylkill Haven and Alvin Lightcap of Gibraltar as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. She was pre-deceased by Three Sisters: Shirley Sell, June Long and Linda Lightcap and Four Brothers: David Lightcap, Conrad Lightcap, Robert Fitzcharles and Earl Lightcap. Memorial Services will be held in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn on Thursday,January 10th, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Friends may call from11:00 am to12:00 pm. Interment in Brownback Cemetery, Spring City. In Lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to the Autisim Society 4340 East-West Hwy, Suite #350 Bethesda, MD 20814.
