Juanita F. Hainly (Hoke)

October 28, 1941 — June 12, 2023

Juanita F. (Hoke) Hainly, 81, of Reading, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late Earl P. Hainly Jr., who passed away February 2016. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Rolenitus) Hoke. Juanita graduated from Reading High School and was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church. Juanita worked for the Reading School District for many years until her retirement. She volunteered at the Animal Rescue League and was always taking care of the stray cats in the neighborhood. Juanita was a loyal friend, always there to help neighbors and friends whenever they needed it.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Linette (Heather Johnson) of NJ, and her step daughter Michele Longenecker (Jeffrey Sweeney). She is also survived by two grandsons Quinton and Logan, and one granddaughter Stephanie, her sister Karen Bleiler, nephew Michael Hoffman, and nieces Michele and Cheryl Hoffman. Juanita was predeceased by three children; Bernadette, Walter Jr. and Theresa as well as by her three brothers.

A service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either Open Bible Baptist Church, 10 Park Lane, Reading Pa 19606 or Berks County Animal Rescue League by visiting Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
