Isobel A. Godshall, 88 of Pennside passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Reading Hospital Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Edward W. Godshall. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Jane Showalter 130 North 11th Street, where she grew up. Isobel graduated from Wilson High School, worked in sales and then was secretary and in the billing department for Met Ed., Reading, at age 40, Realtor, licensed having her own successful office inside the West Side Tennis Club (husbands business) later transfered to her home in Pennside where she resided for 60 years. Married in in Abilene, Texas while husband was in the service. She had once held the position of President of the Parent Teachers Association for Mt. Penn High School and was affiliated with many community programs in the Mt. Penn / Pennside area of Reading. Her hobbies inc luded baking, singing, dancing, gardening and lovingly growing orchids. Survived by three sons: Edward, R of Reifton, Glenn W. of Kutztown and Bruce A. California. Other survivors include 5 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. Isobel is also survived by her nephew Ray Wien Jr of West Lawn. She was predeceased by her two siblings: Theresa Wein of West Lawn and Elwood Showalter of West Springfield, MA.
