Gloria M. Seifrit

Gloria M. Seifrit, 90, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at her residence on March 19, 2024. She was the wife of the late Claude E. Seifrit. Born in Reading, PA in 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Irene (Bachman) Matz. She was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1951. Gloria worked as a legal secretary from 1951 until her retirement in 2002 from Stevens and Lee Law Firm. She was a former Vice Chairwoman for the Democratic County Commission and was proud to have voted for more than 50 straight years. She served as President for both the Berks County Legal Secretary Association and the PA Legal Secretary Association. Her commitment and knowledge for her work has been truly unsurpassed. Upon her retirement she enjoyed reading, having lunch with friends and helped tutor inner city children. Gloria was a remarkable person and an inspiration to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her work, her friends and her family. She will be deeply missed.

Gloria is survived by her 3 sons: Mark A. Mosser, husband of Vicki, Dededo, Guam, Kenneth L. Mosser, Kutztown, PA, and Christopher C. Seifrit, husband of Denise, Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tiffany K. Mosser, Katie Bodden, Christopher A. and Crystal Seifrit, along with 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her long-term friend Peter Xavios, her brother James A. Matz and sister Bonnie J. Feicht.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606.
