Howard Solomon “Moonie” Faust 92, passed away October 9, 2012 in his Wernersville residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Alsace Twp., son of the late Sallie (Labe) and Solomon Faust.
He is survived by his wife Gloria June (Quinter) who celebrated 70 years of marriage on Aug. 8, 2012.
Also surviving are his two daughters, Suzanne Marie Whitmoyer wife of Charles G. Whitmoyer and Kathleen Elaine Rohrbach wife of Clyde Daniel Rohrbach. He adored his three grandchildren, Tracy Schaeffer, Brenda Whitmoyer and Barton Whitmoyer. Also his four great granddaughters Amanda, Emma, Alyson and Alayna. His siblings include: Sisters Edna Himmelreich, Lillian Graeff and Dorothy Fisher and brother Claude Faust. He was pre-deceased by brothers Charles, Elmer, Ralph and Albert and his son Dennis in 1943.
As a young man he had an ice route in the city of Reading. He then went onto becoming a tractor trailer driver for several companies.
Dad loved the ground and the Lord gave him a green thumb. But his biggest passion was his greenhouses, going to market and his woodshop. But above all was the love for his wife, daughters and their husbands, grandchildren and great grandchildren and siblings.
He will be sorely missed. Dad loved life and nature.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
