Elizabeth A. (Carl) Shuman

Elizabeth A. (Carl) Shuman, 95, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Shuman. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Smith) Shuman. Elizabeth graduated from Reading High School, class of 1948. She was a sales associate at Boscovs for many years, managing the boys department. Elizabeth was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.

Elizabeth is survived by her two sons; Robert R. husband of Sheila, and Gary H. husband of Joanie. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Katherine E., Patrick A., Neil J., Amy N. Barrett, as well as seven great-grandchildren; Zoey, Lily, Hailey, Oliva, Jack, Vada, Sidney, and her great-great-grandchildren Carson and Carter. Elizabeth predeceased by one son Jeffrey L. and her siblings William and Margaret.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.
