Elaine F. Fox

Elaine F. (Weidner) Fox, 88, of Willow Street, PA, formerly of Muhlenberg Twp. passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Willow Valley Communities. She was the wife of James C. Fox, with whom she celebrated 70 years of marriage. Born in West Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late J. Russell and Erma O. (Fisher) Weidner. Elaine was a graduate of Oley High School, class of 1953 and was a member of Friedens U.C.C. She was an administrative assistant to the Chairman and CEO of Carpenter Technology Corp. for 35 years, retiring in 2001. Elaine played violin with the Reading Pops Orchestra for 35 years as well as with the Reading Senior Orchestra and Lancaster Senior Orchestra.

In addition to her husband, Elaine is survived by her daughter Brenda J. Fox, her grandchildren; Abigail O. Marriott Mayers, Vincent J. Marriott IV, Peter N. Fox and great grandchildren Vincent V, William, and Jack. She is also survived by her brother Wayne R. Weidner, husband of Kathleen, and her sister Linda W., wife Leonard M. Dietrich. Elaine was predeceased by her daughter Karen (Fox) Marriott, and her sister Jane W. Ables.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at Friedens U.C.C, 227 Main Street, Oley, PA 19547. Interment will be held privately at Oley Church Cemetery.
