Eileen B. (Beere) Donnelly

Eileen B. Donnelly, 87, of Blandon, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Reading Hospital Medical Center. She was the widow of Walter J. Donnelly. Prior to Walter's passing, they were married for forty two years. 

Born in County Laois, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Lambe) Beere. Ellen graduated from high school in Ireland, and moved to the United States when she was 18 years old. She maintained close relationships with all of her family in Ireland. Eileen retired from Reading Hospital in 2013. She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. She loved playing bridge and other activities with her many friends at the community clubhouse. Eileen was an avid follower of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. She was loved and cherished by all. 

Eileen is survived by her children, Eileen M. Benne, wife of David, Kevin J. Donnelly, husband of Carla, and Mary Ellen Rund, wife of Brian. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kyle (Therese), Alex (Devon), Eric (Wes), Katie (Shawne), Ashley, and Harlie, as well as her brother Father Joseph Beere. She was preceded in death by her daughters Kathleen and Maureen Donnelly, and her siblings Georgie, John Joe, Paddy, Mary, Kathleen and her twin brother Jimmy.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am at Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of Eileen's family. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements.
