Edward A. Stoltzfus, Jr., 79, of Elverson, Pennsylvania, formerly of New Holland, passed away on May 29th, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Paradise, Pennsylvania, on May 17, 1947, he was the son of the late Edward A. Stoltzfus, Sr. and Esther Stoltzfus. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor (Chrisman) Stoltzfus, and his sister, Shirley (Stoltzfus) Horger.
Edward proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the 25th Infantry Division from 1968 to 1969. A decorated veteran, he received numerous honors for his bravery and sacrifice, including the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. His service to his country was a source of great pride throughout his life.
Edward dedicated much of his career to hard work and leadership. He was a strong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and served as scout master in Elverson, PA for 15 years. He worked for 28 years as the Parts and Service manager at Morgan Corporation, in Morgantown, PA. For the past 20 years, he continued working as an independent transportation contractor, demonstrating the strong work ethic and determination for which he was well known.
Above all, Edward cherished his family. He is survived by his three sons, Chrisman Stoltzfus (and wife, Erin) of Devon, Corbin Stoltzfus (and wife, Marisa) of Pottstown, and Daniel Stoltzfus (and wife, Monica) of Exeter; his loving wife, Bonnie (Hostetler) Stoltzfus of Elverson, and Bonnie's son, Corey Hostetler of Morgantown.
Known affectionately as "Pop-Pop," Edward was deeply loved by his six grandchildren - Taylor, Matthew, Dylan, Braeden, Jackson, and Xander - who brought him immense joy and whom he adored wholeheartedly. He is also survived by his two brothers, Milton Stoltzfus (and wife, Wanda) and Marvin Stoltzfus (and wife, Debbie).
Edward will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, dedication to his family, and unwavering sense of duty. His life was marked by service, perseverance, and love, and he leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, 7 St. Andrews Ln., Glenmoore, PA 19343, followed by a service beginning at 11:00 am, also at the church. Burial will follow in Saint Andrew's Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Edward has requested that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (support.woundedwarriorproject.org).
