Donna D. (Dellicker) Shurr, 82, of Exeter Township, passed away in her home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. She was the wife of the late Clair W. Shurr Jr, who passed away on March 2, 2013 after sharing 42 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Martha D. (Prutzman) Dellicker. Donna was a contestant in the Kutztown Junior Miss Pageant held in November 1960. She was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School in 1961 where she received the "Betty Crocker Homemaker Award" and the "Future Homemaker of America" award her senior year. She was a former member of the Kutztown Grange and its degree team and the former Northstein Mustang Car Club in Kutztown, also organizing Mustang Car Rallies. She was also a graduate of Empire Beauty School in 1973. Donna worked for the Renee Hair Salon in Muhlenberg Township and then went on to work and manage two hair salons in the former John Wanamaker store at Berkshire Mall for three years. She then was a self-employed hairdresser in her home for 37 years, retiring in 2012. Donna was also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, from 1988-2025.
Donna is survived by one stepson Steven W. Shurr, husband of Beatrice, of Bernville, two step-grandsons Michael W. and Brandon J. Shurr, two foster sisters Margaret "Peg" (Young) Diehl, of Kutztown, and Carol (Young) Waters, of Fleetwood, and one nephew Terry Lee Hartman, husband of Oletha, of Mertztown. She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret "Peg" Stump, and her foster brother Leo G. Young.
Interment will be held privately at the convenience of Donna's family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, https://action.American Lung Association.
