Dolores (Alloway) Lorah, 83, of Exeter Township, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Kenneth W. Lorah. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Violet M. (Hainley) Alloway. Dolores graduated from Mt. Penn High School and attended RACC. She then graduated from McCain School of Business. Dolores was employed by the Reading Fire Department for 20 years, lastly as the Fire Marshall. She then worked for Berkshire System Group Inc. for 15 years. Dolores was an honorary member of the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to her husband, Kenneth, Dolores is survived by her children; James R. Lorah, husband of Catherine, of Lower Alsace, and Pamela Seaman, wife of Todd, of Lower Alsace. She is also survived by four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Bieber.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Comfort Keepers and Bayada Hospice for the love and care provided for Dolores.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Avenue Fl 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
