Marshall Lee DeAcosta, 76, of Exeter Twp. passed away Sunday, August 11th, 2013 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the lifelong comapnion of Sarah L. Frey. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Raoul E. and Catharine H. (Homan) DeAcosta. Marshall was a Korean War veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of St. James Church in West Reading where he was involved in the mens brotherhood group where he made breakfast once a month. He was also a member of the Pikeville Sportsmans Club. Marshall was an animal lover of all kinds. He loved to cook and fish and spend time with his grandchildren. Marshall retired from Beacon Container after 37 years of employment. In addition to his companion, Marshall is survived by: Three Daughters: Sherry Stephenson of Exeter Twp., Yvonne DeAcosta of Reading and Denise DeAcosta of Boyertown ; One Son: Troy DeAcosta of Exeter Twp.; Three Grandchildren: Stephanie Piccone, Dante Johnson and Aaron Stephenson; Four Great-Grandchildren; One Sister: Linda S. Flannery; Three Brothers: Gary F. , Lynn P. and Greg J. There are also several nieces and nephews. Services and Interment private at the convenience of the family.
