Daniel L. Schappell, 57, of Reading, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of Lee Schappell and the late Catherine E. (Shubrooks) Stump. Dan graduated from Reading High School, and went on to work as a baker at Sweet Street Desserts for many years.
In addition to his father, Dan is survived by his daughter Justine Schappell, his brother Jason Stump, his stepmom Elsa I. Schappell, and his grandmother Rev. Catherine A. Shubrooks.
