Courtney L. Tull, 66, of Reading, passed away on August 3, 2026, at Reading Hospital. He was the husband of June A. (George) Tull. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, he was the son of the late Carlton Tull and Mary Christian. Courtney graduated from South East Senior Secondary School, class of 1977. He then went on to Lincoln University where he graduated with his Master's Degree in Human Services. He worked as a teacher in Trinidad for many years and then as a counselor at various places including the Children's Home of Reading and Reading Specialist. Courtney had a lot of different hobbies and he collected many things. Some of his favorite things to collect were Princess House crystal pieces, Hess trucks, and marbles. He loved exploring yard sales, thrifting, and buying things to send home to Trinidad to family as well as a children center. Courtney was God fearing and he held the Lord with reverence. He was very involved with his prayer line and sometimes gave sermons. He was a member of Christ Church of Reading.
In addition to his wife, Courtney is survived by his daughters, Andrea C. Tull, and Abigail T. Tull, wife of Micheal H. McKinney II; his brother, Benton Christian, and his two sisters, Gale Tull, and Thora Dempster. He was preceded in death by his brother Ethelbert Christian.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with services beginning at 12:00 pm at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Courtney's memory to Christ Episcopal Church at 435 Court St., Reading, PA 19601. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., has been entrusted with arrangements.
