Carol A. (Kazmierzak) Hoover, 77, of Shillington, passed away on August 31, 2026 at Berks Heim Nursing Home. She was the loving wife of James F. Hoover for just shy of 59 years. Born in Reading, PA Carol was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Bialak) Kazmierzak.

Carol was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and was a medical secretary for many years until her retirement. She loved the beach and warm weather and spent many winters in Siesta Key and Venice soaking up the sun. Most of her free time was dedicated to her family and grandchildren. She never missed a picnic or family gathering. Her greatest joy was her time spent with her grandchildren hosting weekend sleepovers or attending their sporting events and dance recitals.

She is survived by one daughter Kristy Weller, wife of Brian, and four grandchildren Aryella, Brady, Brandon, and Aubree. Carol was predeceased by her son Michael G, sisters Dolores Milanek, Gloria Kazmierzak, and brothers Richard and Walter Kazmierzak.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at the Berks Heim and Tower Health Hospice Care for their care and attention to Carol.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 8, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Reading Pa 19606. Interment will be held privately.
