Margaret A. "Peg" (Howells) Burk, 60, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in her home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Jeffrey R. Burk, with whom she celebrated 42 years of marriage. Born in Wilkes-Barre and raised in Plymouth, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Anita (Boyes) Howells. She graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School. Peg was a florist for many years until she retired to
focus her time on her family.
In addition to her devoted husband, Jeff, and beloved cat, JohnnyBonz, Peg is survived by her loving children; Amy Krutsick, wife of Dan, Phoenixville, and Kevin Burk, fiancée of Brittany Weidman, Reading, as well as four grandchildren and the lights of her life: Noah, Lyla, Dahlia, and Remy. Peg is also survived by four brothers: Rich, Jack, Bill, and Charlie, two sisters: Terry and Diane, and several nieces and nephews. Peg was a multi talented and creative woman who greatly enjoyed sewing (especially making all her kids’ and grandkids’ Halloween costumes and even her daughter’s wedding dress), cooking, baking, reading, drawing, and coloring with her grandkids. She loved listening to music loudly, decorating her house with beautiful plants and flowers, sitting on her porch, doing crossword puzzles with her husband, and cheering on her Phillies. But of all her many loves, her greatest passion was being a Grammy.
If you knew Peg, you loved her. She was kind, accepting, fun loving, talented, compassionate, selfless, and fiercely loyal. She loved her family deeply; she was the center of their universe. She touched many peoples’ lives and treated everyone as part of her family. We were lucky to have had her as a part of our lives for as many years as we did. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her.
