Bruce R. Deeds, 80, of Exeter Twp., passed away on July 12, 2026. He was the husband of the late Carol J. (Shiller) Deeds.

Born in Reading, PA, Bruce was the son of the late Robert Bruce and Anna May (Brown) Deeds. He was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1964. He worked most of his life as a Baker at Maier's Bakery.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Bruce is survived by his daughter, Natalie J. Barna, wife of Brian, his grandchildren, Zoe, Jacob, Zeven, and Amanda, and his sister, Sharon Maier. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon C. Stewart, his brothers, Norman and Jessie, and his sister, Celeste.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Sautrday August, 1, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with services beginning at 12:00 pm at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bruce's memory to Schwarzwald UCC at 75 Church Lane Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., has been entrusted with arrangements.
