Bettina (Plowfield) Bonner, 56, of Brecknock Township, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Stephen J. Bonner, with whom she celebrated 24 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Plowfield Jr. and Ethel (Brower) Plowfield. She was a graduate of The Shipley School. Bettina worked at Brecknock Academy where she was a preschool attendant and cook. She was a member of the Church of St. Benedict, and volunteered with the Animal Rescue League.
In addition to her husband, Bettina is survived by her son Tres S. Bonner, her sister Tracy, her step-mother Phyllis Plowfield, and her cats, Naughty, Boo, Prince, Leo, and Big Boy.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road Birdsboro, PA 19508. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
