Barbara J. Becker (Quick)

Barbara J Becker, 76, beloved wife of Richard L Becker of South Coventry Township passed away on November 28, 2013 at her home. She was born in Bethlehem, PA, the daughter of the late Walter and Sarah (Ferrey) Quick. Barbara worked as a System Computer Programmer for Wyeth Laboratory and the University of Pennsylvania. In 1974 she opened the Coventry Garden Center on RT100 just south of RT23. The business was sold in 1981 and continues as a garden center to this day. Barbara’s love for gardening continued her entire life where she created beautiful perennial gardens and stunni ng courtyard containers around her home and pool. Barbara also enjoyed her cats and going to Sandbridge Beach, VA with her family every summer. Along with her husband of 44 years, she is survived by two daughters, Laura E Fairbrother (Baxter) wife of Stephen, and Kimberly A Costanzo (Becker) wife of Raymond, both of Pottstown, PA; 5 grandchildren, Scott P, Christopher M, Jason T, Katelyn I and Josephine L, a brother Walter Quick, husband of Mary, of King of Prussia and a sister Marilyn Pegler, wife of the late Norman (Stump) Pegler of Lady Lake, FL. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the local animal shelter/rescue of your choice. Services will be held at Lutz Funeral Home Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Mt. Penn PA on Wednesday December 4th at 12:00noon. Friends may call from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
