David P Bechtel

David P. Bechtel, 70, of Exeter Township, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Linda (Hoffman) Bechtel. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Harold P. Sr. and Annabelle (Goodhart) Bechtel. David graduated from Reading High School and attended Penn State University. He was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church, and spent his career as a toolmaker at Teleflex. He was also a loyal RHS Basketball fan, and an avid gardener.

David is survived by his daughters Elizabeth Bussler, Exeter, Sarah Bechtel, Reading; and granddaughter Bridgette Bussler. Also surviving are siblings Harold P. Jr., and Deborah Moyer.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Rd, Fleetwood Pa 19522. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave, Reading, PA 19606.
