Barry L. Hecker, 83, of Birdsboro, passed away on July 10, 2025 in his home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Carole R. (Leckrone) Hecker, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage. Born in Blandon, he was the son of the late Edward W. and Pearl M. (Angstadt) Hecker. Barry attended Exeter High School. He did tread tubing at FireStone for many years. Later in life, Barry was a custodian for Exeter School District. Barry was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran. He had a true love for classic cars and Harleys.
In addition to his wife, Barry is survived by his children; Barbara Rhein, and Karen Reifsnyder, wife of Tracy L. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Melody, and Tyler, his great-grandchildren; Destiny and Keagan, his brother Edward W. Hecker Jr., husband of Earlene, and his sister Rosalie Heller, wife of the late Craig. He was preceded in death by his brother Peter V. Hecker.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., has been entrusted with arrangements.
