Barbara J. (Whittemore) Houck

Barbara J. (Whittemore) Houck, 85, of Reading, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Penn State Health St. Joseph's Hospital. She was the widow of the late Kenneth Houck. Born in Johnson City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Taylor and Bessie (Mosely) Whittemore. Barbara graduated from Manheim Township High School. She was a hostess at Mt. Penn and Fegleys Restaurant for many years.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Brenda Ruhl and son Terry Ruhl. She is also survived by her nieces; Patty, Debbie, and Cheyenne.
