Arthur A. Sechrist

Arthur A. Sechrist, 90, of Oley, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 in the Reading Hospital Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Joan (Kennedy) Sechrist, with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage. Born in St. Lawrence, he was the son of the late Ralph L. and L. Margaret (Van Buskirk) Sechrist. Arthur graduated from Mt. Penn High School. He proudly served time in The United States Navy Reserves. Arthur worked for C.H. Schlegel & Schlegel Builders for 40 years. He started off as a laborer and finished his career as the CEO. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being part of hunting camps. Along with spending time at his cabin he had for 30 years in Perry County, "The Drumming Log" After retirement he enjoyed a 6 month trip throughout the states. After his wife passed he resided in a in laws quarters on his daughter, Lori's property. He also enjoyed being a scoutmaster for scout troop 331 in Jacksonwald.

Arthur is survived by his daughters; Lori J. Shaffer, wife of Michael, Lynn N. Sechrist, and Lisa J. Hoffman, wife of David. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Sarena Sechrist, Sarah Hoffman, and Matthew Hoffman. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Joan, his sister Sara J. Sechrist and his seven beloved dogs.
