Anne Lee Boyer, 81, of Oley, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 18th, 2026 at Mifflin Court in Shillington, PA. She was the wife of the late J. Alan Boyer, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage before his passing in 2022. Born in Washington, D.C. she was the daughter of the late James and Kathleen (Hulvey) Jones.

She graduated from Reading High School in 1963 and then attended Kutztown University, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She was a first grade teacher in Reading School District for over 30 years until her retirement, with most of her teaching career spent at Northwest Elementary School.

Anna Lee loved cooking, baking, flowers, cats, sewing, quilting, and playing trivia with family and friends. She was well known for her amazing baked goods, and was the Oley Fair Baking Champion for over 30 years sometimes entering over 50 items! She faithfully attended the event each year and was a judge for various categories.

She loved her home in Oley with all of her flowers and her many cats. She was always ready to make an incredible meal at the drop of a hat for anyone who arrived at her home.

To know Anna Lee was to love her. She was always willing to help others, had an amazing sense of humor, she embraced life and learning, and truly enjoyed just being in her kitchen and dining room spending fun times with others. She always said that she had a wonderful life with her husband, sister, relatives and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Priscilla Wert, Niece Anne Hill (wife of Charles) from Chambersburg, Niece Jennifer O'Brien (Wife of Dan) of Sinking Spring, nephew David Alan Boyer (Husband of Teddy) of France, and Niece Becky Miller of North Carolina, along with one great niece and four great nephews.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 24th ,2026 from 12 noon until 1pm with a funeral service beginning at 1pm at Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd. Reading, PA 19606. Lutz Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
