Ann T. Schilling, 73, of Mt. Penn, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 in Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late John L. Schilling Jr. and Elizabeth M. (Burkhart) Schilling,

Ann was a kind soul. She loved everyone she met and everyone she met loved her. Growing up she was a teacher to her younger brothers and sisters. She would help them with their homework and was always there when they needed someone to talk to. Ann was not only their teacher, but she was their chauffeur and their friend. Ann graduated from Mount Penn High School in 1971. After that, she attended Bloomsburg College, graduating in 1975. There, she met many people who became lifelong friends.

Ann loved the beach and traveling with her family. She enjoyed going to concerts, with her favorites being Stevie Nicks and Bruce Springsteen. With six brothers and sisters, she always had her hands full watching her nieces and nephews and helping the family. Ann made many friends during her life and is leaving us all with a hole that no one else can fill. Of all the things Ann taught us in life, one thing for sure is that kindness was the greatest gift she could have given everyone no matter what obstacles life may have thrown at her. She touched everyone she knew with kindness and dignity.

Ann is survived by her siblings; John Schilling, husband of Nadzia, Michael Schilling, husband of Lori, Marcia Schilling, Christine Flamm, wife of James, Daniel Schilling, husband of Michelle, and Julie Henry, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening, September 29, 2026 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 beginning at 11:00 am at St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C., 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606.
