Betty A. (Englehart) Zettlemoyer

Betty A. Zettlemoyer, born October 10, 1928, aged 88 years, formerly of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on June 9 at Keystone Villa, Douglassville where she had resided since June of 2015. Born in Stony Creek Mills, she was the daughter of the late Erma S. (Keller) Faust and Calvin Englehart. Betty was a 1946 graduate of Mt. Penn High School and wife of the late Charles V. Zettlemoyer. She was a member of Good Shepherd UCC in Muhlenberg Twp.

Prior to her retirement, she was an executive secretary at Cabot Corporation in Boyertown, PA. In her earlier years, she was a member of the Reading Liederkranz Schuhplatters Dancers and enjoyed dancing and attending Liederkranz events. Betty loved her annual family vacations to the shore in Stone Harbor, NJ, playing bridge with friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also took great pleasure in cooking and baking for her family.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa A. Reichardt, wife of Mark S. Reichardt, of Muhlenberg Twp. and her son Steven L. Zettlemoyer, husband of Nancy Zettlemoyer, of Wappinger Falls, NY, along with granddaughters Stephanie Williamson, Ashley Reichardt, Sharon Zettlemoyer, Beth Arne, and great-grandson Benjamin Arne. Also surviving is her stepsister Mary Jane, wife of Albert Walschburger, of Lancaster. Preceding her in death were her brother Calvin Englehart, husband of Barbara Englehart, of Myerstown, stepsister Dorothy Shade of Stony Creek Mills, and stepbrother Leroy Faust of Reading.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with services beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Reading, PA 19606.
